Junior Achievement of Alaska Inc Anchorage AK US $10,000 Students that participate in the ja inspire program are able to: apply for jobs, attend industry panels from leading experts based in anchorage speaking about the future workforce, write resumes, complete a work readiness career assessment, download attachments to store in a digital backpack and to share with their families, and listen to webinars with advice on professional workplace attire, keys to success, becoming an entrepreneur, and more.
Abused Women's Aid in Crisis Inc Anchorage AK US $10,000 The funding from the alaska airlines foundation will be used to shelter families for 2 weeks and help with basic needs i. E. Transportation, food and clothing.
Covenant House Alaska Anchorage AK US $10,000 Covenant house alaska (cha) is in our 34th year of serving youth. Our education & employment (e&e) department is available to all youth entering our services, ages 13-24. The goal of the e&e department is to help youth overcome barriers to completing their education and gaining meaningful employment/income, ultimately setting them up for success in life. We believe a focus on e&e services to be one of the most impactful way to break the cycle of homelessness for the youth we serve.
