Description:

Every successful grant program starts with strong systems. Whether your organization or clients focus on large-scale, multi-year federal grants or lean toward family foundations and other private funders, setting up and maintaining effective risk management and internal controls plays a critical role in keeping those grant dollars coming.

During this webinar, Amanda Day and Kimberly Hays de Muga will guide you in creating and maintaining internal controls that ensure your organization remains compliant. Using the Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidelines as a foundation, you’ll explore what systems should be in place and how to work together to design and implement them effectively.

You’ll learn:
  • how to align your organization’s policies and procedures with OMB guidelines and generally accepted grant management standards;
  • what internal checks and balances should be established;
  • practical steps for reviewing, updating, and implementing policies that prevent fraud and mismanagement; and,
  • ways to strengthen accountability, transparency, and collaboration to keep funders confident and future grants flowing.

You’ll leave understanding that policies and procedures serve a much greater purpose than being standard attachments to a grant proposal.

Who should attend:

This session is ideal for executive directors, development directors, grant administrators, and grant writers who want to ensure their systems support sound grant management.

After the webinar, you’ll receive:
  • slides and handouts; and,
