Support Addresses Oral Health Equity in the U.S.
CareQuest Institute for Oral Health: Advancing Equity Through Oral Health Fund
Application deadline: The remaining 2025 deadlines for concept notes are May 16, August 1, and November 20.
Geographic scope: United States, including U.S. territories
Description: The CareQuest Institute for Oral Health provides support in the United States to improve the oral health of all. The Institute’s Advancing Equity Through Oral Health Fund seeks to drive oral health transformation through support of efforts to dismantle unjust structures and systems that drive disparities across oral health, access to care, treatment, and outcomes. Funding is structured around the following areas: policy and advocacy, with a focus on federal and state oral health policy; clinically appropriate care, inclusive of medical-dental integrations, minimally invasive care, and healthcare workforce; community capacity and voice, with a focus on engagement of community voices, specifically underserved populations; and research to advance oral health systems change. Nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and educational or research institutions are eligible to apply.
Efforts to End Hunger Funded in Company Communities and Nationally
Kroger Charitable Giving
Application deadline: None (Foundation grants are processed quarterly.)
Geographic scope: Communities where Kroger Family of Companies operate, as well as nationally
Description: Kroger's charitable giving supports nonprofit organizations in communities where Kroger Family of Companies operates. Support may also be available for national initiatives. As part of Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste plan, priority is given to nonprofit organizations and programs that help end hunger and waste in Kroger communities. Support is also provided in the focus areas of sustainability, health and nutrition, disaster relief, diversity and inclusion, and education and youth development. Cash donations are provided, including through grants from The Kroger Co. Foundation and The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation. Other types of support include sponsorships, gift card donations, and in-kind product donations. Additional information is available through the online application portal.
Grants Promote LGBTQ+ Youth Projects
It Gets Better: Changemakers
Application deadline: May 5, 2025
Geographic scope: United States, including U.S. territories
Grant amount: $500 to $10,000
Description: It Gets Better: Changemakers provides funds for exceptional projects led by LGBTQ+ youth in collaboration with a partner organization that aim to make communities bolder, safer, and prouder places for all. Support is provided to LGBTQ+ youth aged 13 to 18 partnering with registered nonprofits or public and charter secondary schools within the United States, including U.S. territories. Funded projects must support LGBTQ+ youth in the community. Projects that support LGBTQ+ youth of color, trans and nonbinary youth, and LGBTQ+ youth with disabilities are of particular interest.
Challenge Seeks Tech Solutions to Economic Resilience
MIT Solve: Global Economic Prosperity Challenge
Application deadline: April 17, 2025
Geographic scope: Global
Grant amount: Each selected Solver team receives $10,000 in unrestricted funding, access to additional prize funding and funding opportunities, and a support program.
Description: MIT Solve’s Global Economic Prosperity Challenge seeks tech-based solutions to build and sustain financial and economic opportunities and resilience for all. The focus is on solutions that enable universal access to financial services, increase digital participation and security, and expand workforce development (such as through skill-based training, employment matching, and career mobility programs) or worker safety and benefits, with an emphasis on underinvested populations.

Grants Available in 11 TV Station Markets
NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants
Application deadline: April 11, 2025
Geographic scope: 11 NBC and Telemundo television station markets
Description: NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants will award $2.5 million to nonprofit organizations in 11 NBC and Telemundo owned television station markets in 2025. Eligible markets include Los Angeles, San Diego, and the San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Connecticut; South Florida; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; New York; Philadelphia, PA; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; and Washington, DC. (A list of eligible zip codes is available on the NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants website.) The grants will provide unrestricted funds to organizations that are doing work in three areas: Youth Education and Empowerment, with a focus on in-school and community-based programs that equip youth with the tools they need to succeed, such as STEM/STEAM education and youth entrepreneurship; Next Generation Storytellers, including programs that develop pathways for emerging talent and youth voices to explore careers in communications, arts, news, sports, and entertainment; and Community Engagement, including programs that enable individuals to engage with and volunteer in their regions.

Compeer Financial: Community Building Grant Program
Application deadline: Applications are accepted year-round, or until all funds are allocated for the calendar year.
Geographic scope: 144-county territory across Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin
Grant amount: $2,500 to $10,000
Description: Compeer Financial's Community Building Grant Program supports brick-and-mortar projects in communities across Compeer Financial’s service territory in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Support is provided for building projects that allow community members to gather or that provide opportunities for education and showcase agriculture. Examples of eligible projects include community centers or fairgrounds and related buildings, facilities for agriculture education, and facilities servicing local food insecurity needs. Projects must be located in a rural community or serve agriculture or farmers. Funds are designated for new construction or major renovations. Eligible applicants include public entities, community-based nonprofits, collaborative organizations, school-affiliated groups, and units of government.
Funding Enhances Health and Well-Being in NY State
Mother Cabrini Health Foundation
Application deadline: Letters of inquiry will be accepted from March 31 to April 24, 2025.
Geographic scope: New York
Grant amount: $75,000 or greater
Description: The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation supports programs that meet the unmet healthcare and healthcare-related needs of individuals, families, and communities throughout New York state. Funding is provided through the following program areas: access to healthcare, basic needs, healthcare workforce, and mental and behavioral health. In addition, the Foundation’s General Fund supports projects that do not fit within the other program areas but that advance the health and well-being of eight priority populations: immigrants, justice-involved individuals, low-income individuals and families, older adults, people with disabilities, veterans, youth and young adults, and young children, pregnant women, and new moms and dads. New York nonprofit organizations that have an annual budget of $750,000 or more are eligible to apply.

Oregon Immigrant and Refugee Funders Collaborative
Application deadline: None
Geographic scope: Oregon
Description: The Oregon Immigrant and Refugee Funders Collaborative, a partnership of the Oregon Community Foundation, The Collins Foundation, and Meyer Memorial Trust, supports local nonprofits across Oregon that respond to the needs of immigrants and refugees. The focus is on projects and programs that fall under the following three areas: legal services, movement building and advocacy, and basic and wraparound services. Organizations should demonstrate that their work addresses barriers to equitable outcomes for immigrants and refugees and is designed by centering the voices and experiences of immigrants and refugees. 501(c)(3) public charities and groups that have a qualified fiscal sponsor are eligible to apply.
