Create Your Grants Calendar

Now that your positioning is outlined, step 6 includes building a grants calendar that covers the next six to 12 months. This calendar will serve as your planning tool for managing funding opportunities and tracking proposal deadlines.

Start by reviewing the application deadlines and requirements for each funding opportunity. Recording these dates early will help you determine which opportunities are realistic for your organization to pursue and prevent last-minute scrambling.

Many organizations find it helpful to maintain two types of systems to stay organized: a Master Grants Calendar and a Proposal Writing Schedule for each application.
