Description: The Leonard-Litz Foundation supports nonprofit organizations advancing the well-being and equality of LGBTQ+ people. Priority is given to initiatives serving communities of color and transgender or gender-nonconforming individuals. Additional initiatives focus on LGBTQ+ adults over 55, large-scale policy progress, and resources for trans, nonbinary, and intersex communities.

Description: The Joyce Foundation invests in initiatives that advance racial equity and economic mobility with a focus on the Great Lakes region. Funding supports programs that influence public policy, improve education and career outcomes, protect the environment, prevent gun violence, strengthen democracy, and expand arts and cultural opportunities. Priority areas include equal access to high-quality education, climate solutions and water infrastructure, justice reform and violence prevention, voting rights and fair representation, and support for artists and arts organizations of color.

Description: The U.S. National Science Foundation funds projects that improve undergraduate STEM education and prepare students to become leaders in the field.
