Manitoba is a province with a rich cultural heritage, standing at the very heart of North America. This province faces its fair share of challenges, however, including economic uncertainties, labor shortages, poverty and addiction. There are many Manitoba nonprofits, however, which have made it their mission to tackle these kinds of issues. 

These nonprofits are only able to pursue their missions thanks to the generous funding provided by Manitoba grants. These grants can be put towards all kinds of purposes, including rural development, environmental conservation and cultural preservation. 

There are many different kinds of organizations that provide these sorts of grants. This includes many community foundations, such as the Winnipeg Foundation. 

When drafting a grant proposal targeting a particular province, it's essential to use relevant, accurate local data. What statistics you’ll need will depend on the particular mission of  your nonprofit. Good places to get started could include Statistics Canada or the Manitoba Bureau of Statistics.
